Abstract

In this chapter, we have conducted a statistical study of the annual extreme precipitation (AMP) for 856 grid cells and during the period of 1979–2012 in Algeria. In the first step, we compared graphically the forecasts of the three parameters of the generalized extreme value (GEV) distribution (location, scale and shape) which are estimated by the Spherical model. We used the Cross validation method to compare the two methods kriging and Co-kriging, based on the based on some statistical indicators such as Mean Errors (ME), Root Mean Square Errors (RMSE) and Squared Deviation Ratio (MSDR). The Kriging forecast error map shows low errors expected near the stations, while co-Kriging gives the lowest errors on average at the national level, which means that the method of co-Kriging is the best. From the results of the return periods, we calculate that after 50 years the estimated of the annual extreme precipitation will exceed the maximum AMP is observed in the 33-year.

An impeller is one of the most important components that are difficult to machine because of its twisted blades. This research book is based on the premise that a STEP-NC program can document “generic” manufacturing information for an impeller. This way, a STEP-NC program can be made machine-independent and has an advantage over the conventional G-code-based NC program that is always generated for a specific CNC machine. Rough machining is recognized as the most crucial procedure influencing machining efficiency and is critical for the finishing process. The research work reported in this chapter focuses on introduces a fully STEP-compliant CNC by putting forward an interpolation algorithm for non uniform rational basic spline (NURBS) curve system for rough milling tool paths with an aim to solve the problems of kinematic errors solutions in five axis machine by neural network implementation. %B Artificial Neural Network Applications in Business and Engineering %V 7 %P 144-170 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Artificial Neural Network Applications in Business and Engineering %D 2021 %T A Particle Swarm Optimization-Based Approach for Finding Reliability in a Total Hip Prosthesis %A Bouakkar, Loubna %A Ameddah, Hacene %A Mazouz, Hammoudi %X Nowadays, we assist the global extension of reliability optimization problems from the design phase of systems and sub-systems to the design and operational phases, not only of systems and sub-systems, but also of bio functionality design. This chapter focuses on double gate (DG) Tunneling Field Effect Transistor (TFET), having band engineering and high - k dielectrics. The basic structure of TFET device is derived and developed by p-i-n diode, containing two heavily doped degenerated semiconductor “p” and “n” regions and lightly doped intrinsic “i” region, respectively. The chapter explores the idea of high-k dielectric engineering as well as band engineering concept with DG -TFET. TFET is a type of field effect device in which current transport phenomena occur due to quantum tunneling between source and channel. The estimation of device characteristics and performance of TFET is time consuming and costly due to lack of rapid advancement in technology. TFET devices have become the most popular switching device among semiconductor players. The chapter summarizes the obtained results by popular device analysis technique, modeling and simulation of DG -TFET.

%B Eau et climat en Afrique du Nord et au Moyen-Orient %P 45-69 %8 2018 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing %D 2018 %T Fuzzy Compensator of the Stator Resistance Variation of the DTC Driven Induction Motor Using Space Vector Modulation %A Fouzia Benmessaoud %A Abdesselem Chikhi %A Sebti Belkacem %B Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing %I © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019, ISBN: 978-3-319-99009-5 %V 845 %8 2018 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Artificial Intelligence in Renewable Energetic Systems %D 2018 %T Fuzzy control of a wind system based on the DFIG %A Mazouz, Farida %A Sebti Belkacem %A Sabir Ouchen %A Harbouche, Y. %A Abdessemed, Rachid %B Artificial Intelligence in Renewable Energetic Systems %I © Springer International Publishing AG 2018, ISBN: 978-3-319-73191-9 %V 35 %8 2018 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Exergy for A Better Environment and Improved Sustainability 2 %D 2018 %T Generating Temperature Maps of a Solar Receiver for a Domestic Parabolic Concentrator for Cooking Purposes Under Algerian Environment %A Fatiha Yettou %A Boubekeur Azoui %A Ali Malek %A Narayan Lal Panwar %A Amor Gama %B Exergy for A Better Environment and Improved Sustainability 2 %I Springer %P 231-257 %8 2018 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Recent Advances in Environmental Science from the Euro-Mediterranean and Surrounding Regions %D 2018 %T Hydrochemical Analysis and Evaluation of Groundwater Quality of an Alluvial Aquifer. In fact, the boost of MOSFET structures is a battle against parasitic phenomena appearing at the nanoscale level. Short channel and quantum confinement effects are among the critical drawbacks that need to be remedied carefully. On the other hand, the hot carrier degradation effect is mainly a reliability concern affecting the device per- formance after long duration of work. In response to the high computational costs related to the development of physi- cal based models for Double Gate (DG) MOSFETs including all these effects, more flexible alternatives have been proposed for the prediction of device performances. Our aim in this chapter is to investigate the efficiency of a new proposed frame- work, built upon Kriging metamodeling and Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm version II (NSGA II), for the optimal design in terms of OFF-current, threshold voltage and swing factor. The input variables of interest are limited to the geometrical parameters namely the channel length and thickness. Data generated according to computer experiments, based on ATLAS 2-D simulator, are used to identify and adjust Kriging surrogate models. It is emphasized that the obtained models can be used accurately in a multi-objective context to offer several Pareto optimal configurations. Therefore, a wide range of selection possibilities is avail- able to the designer depending on situations under consideration. %B Intelligent Nanomaterials, II, Second Edition %I Willey %P 395-427 %8 2016 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Intelligent Mathematics II: Applied Mathematics and Approximation Theory %D 2016 %T New Complexity Analysis of the Path Following Method for Linear Complementarity Problem %A El Amir Djeffal %A Lakhdar Djeffal %A Farouk Benoumelaz %B Intelligent Mathematics II: Applied Mathematics and Approximation Theory %I Springer %P 87-104 %8 2016 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Computational Problems in Science and Engineering %D 2015 %T Application of the Monte Carlo method for the determination of physical parameters of an electrical discharge %A ZEGHICHI, Leyla %A MOKHNACHE, Leïla %A Djebabra, MEBAREK %B Computational Problems in Science and Engineering %I Springer %P 439-447 %8 2015 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Progress in Clean Energy, Volume 2 %D 2015 %T Inlet methane temperature effect at a planar sofc thermal field under direct internal reforming condition %A Abdenebi, Hafsia %A Zitouni, Bariza %A Hocine Ben Moussa %A HADDAD, Djamel %A Zitouni, Hadda %A Youcef Sahli %B Progress in Clean Energy, Volume 2 %I Springer %P 567-581 %8 2015 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Progress in Clean Energy, Volume 1 %D 2015 %T Modeling of Heat Transfer in the PEMFC: Velocity Inlet and Current Density Effect %A HADDAD, Djamel %A Oulmi, Kafia %A Hocine Ben Moussa %A Aouachria, Zeroual %A Youcef, Sahli %B Progress in Clean Energy, Volume 1 %I Springer %P 463-473 %8 2015 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Progress in Clean Energy, Volume 1 %D 2015 %T Phenomenological Study of a Cylindrical Solar Water Heater: Critical Analysis of the Mathematical Model %A Bait, Omar %A Si-Ameur, Mohamed %A Benmoussa, Abdelaziz %B Progress in Clean Energy, Volume 1 %I Springer %P 485-501 %8 2015 %G eng %0 Book Section %B Design and Modeling of Mechanical Systems - II %D 2015 %T Stability Lobes for 1DOF and 2DOF Milling System %A AZOUI Cherifa %A BENMOHAMMED Brahim %X Recently, the investigation of periodic motion of the delay differential (DDEs) and the associated variation systems become into the focus of many studies.
